Wesleyan Doula Project

as a volunteer

Are you a Wesleyan student or Connecticut resident interested in becoming a doula?

We hold an abortion doula training on campus approximately every year and would love to have you apply! Email us at doulaproject@wesleyan.edu and we will send you an application and more information about the training process.  Because of the rules of our clinic partners, only female-presenting people are allowed to volunteer in clinic.  If you have concerns about this rule or are not female-presenting but interested in getting involved in doula work, please reach out! We are dedicated to finding valuable ways for you to engage in this work.

***We are accepting applications for our annual training until Friday, October 13th. The training will take place the weekend of November 11th and 12th. Please fill out our application here and attend a mandatory information session. If you are not a student, please email lwinchell@wesleyan.edu so we can accommodate your schedule.***

Interested in supporting the project in other ways?

Help us plan events! We schedule movie screenings, discussions, and speaking events throughout the year about issues of reproductive health and justice.  If you have ideas about events you would like to lead or attend, let us know – we’d love to work with you.

Volunteer as a driver! If you have access to a car and are interested in helping us provide doula services, we are often looking for transportation to our clinics.  Gas is reimbursed, and it’s a great way to get to know individual doulas and help out the project.
