as a volunteer

Are you a Wesleyan student or Connecticut resident interested in becoming a doula?

We hold an abortion doula training on campus approximately every year and would love to have you apply! Email us at doulaproject@wesleyan.edu and we will send you more information about the application and training process.

Interested in supporting the project in other ways?

Help us plan events! We schedule movie screenings, discussions, and speaking events throughout the year about issues of reproductive health and justice.  If you have ideas about events you would like to lead or attend, let us know – we’d love to work with you.

Become a Clinic Escort! If you are interested in supporting the work of abortion advocacy but looking for a different to way participate, becoming a clinic escort is a great option. Clinic escorts guide patients and staff into and out of abortion clinics, and help navigate past protesters, providing important emotional and physical support. Get involved through Planned Parenthood’s Clinic Escort program, or the Wesleyan student program!

Volunteer as a driver! If you have access to a car and are interested in helping us provide doula services, we are often looking for transportation to our clinics.  Gas is reimbursed, and it’s a great way to get to know individual doulas and help out the project.
